One Furnace, Every Major Fire Curve

Standard time–temperature curves the furnaces reproduce, up to 1,350 °C.

ISO 834 (standard cellulosic)
Model of a ventilation-controlled natural fire, the base curve in BS 476, DIN 4102, ASTM and EN 1363-1.
Slow heating
Slow heating curve, part of the built-in curve library; parameters per the applicable standard.
Hydrocarbon (HC)
Model of a ventilated oil fire, reaching about 1,100 °C within 30 minutes, for petroleum and chemical fires.
Modified hydrocarbon (HCM)
HCM and other specific curves depend on the given test criteria; a burner power option up to 12 MW is available for HCM and RWS curves.
RABT-ZTV
German tunnel curve developed from test programmes such as the Eureka project: 1,200 °C within 5 minutes.
RWS (Rijkswaterstaat)
Based on a petroleum fire of 300 MW fire load in an enclosed area such as a tunnel, up to 1,350 °C; burner power option up to 12 MW.
Custom
Any other curve up to 1,350 °C.

Exact curves, maximum temperature, duration and acceptance criteria are specified for the individual project.

Electrical Cable & Circuit Integrity Testing

The required instrumentation configuration and electrical loading arrangement can be engineered to support fire resistance testing programmes such as DIN 4102-12 and EN 1366-11.

Electrical Loading

Project-specific electrical loading arrangements can be integrated according to the intended cable-system test configuration.

Instrumentation

Measurement and monitoring channels are configured around the applicable test method and laboratory requirements.

Test Integration

The electrical test arrangement can be integrated with furnace operation, test data acquisition and documentation.

Final compliance capability depends on the delivered furnace, instrumentation, electrical loading configuration, commissioning and the exact edition of the applicable standard.

Commissioning Against the Standard

Commissioning includes curve verification runs and operator training. Furnace pressure is regulated per EN 1363-1, and start-time logic is selectable between UL, BS and EN requirements.
